As an instructor my goal is to help create a safe place for healthy expression on top of ensuring my students feel accomplished every class! As a performer my goal is to inspire others and share the happiness that circus brings me to the world!
Get to Know Me
I started performing and teaching aerials in 2023. I enjoy high energy performances and love weirdness. Prior to this, I’ve spent virtually my whole life performing. From fourth grade until eleventh grade I was training in acting working with theatres across Texas. Most notably I was in Zach Theatre’s Acting Conservatory Program on a full four year scholarship for my high school years which included weekly classes, monthly master classes, and semester performances. I also was trained in Jazz Dance from seventh grade until tenth grade and Hip Hop Dance from eighth grade until I was 20. When I am not doing aerials you can catch me playing guitar, ukulele, and even sometimes the banjo. I also sing, cut and polish crystals, make jewelry, sew, draw, paint, and rockhound. I am always open for jewelry, cabbing, music, and art commissions. Just ask :3
Aerial Specifics
- I am insured by Specialty Insurance for aerials and pole.
- I use two portable aerial rigs. One is the X-Pole A-Frame which ranges in height from 8-12 feet tall. Aerial chains or dynamic routines are not usually accepted for this rig, but it is open for aerial hammock, ambient chains, single point trapeze, or lyra. This rig does not use a pulley system. The other rig is the Juggle Gear MK3 rig which ranges from 12-20 feet tall and works on a pulley system. Any and all apparatuses and performance styles are welcome on this one. Both rigs take up the same square footage as they are tall ie) 12x12x12 feet.
- For venues that do not allow for a rig I can offer deadrigging (rigging without a pulley system) or I can temporarily install my own pulley system.
- I personally own multiple apparatuses. I own: 7.5 foot long Aerial Chains (adjustable to shorter heights), 10 foot long Aerial Chains, fully LED Rubber Aerial Pole with 150+ light options at about 9 feet long, a Black Silicone Aerial Pole ranging from 7-9 feet long, Pink Suede Body Loops about 9 feet long, and two regular chrome tension mounted X-Poles ranging from 7-11 feet. I have access to an aerial cube, aerial hammock, lyra, and trapeze when needed.
Performance and Class Info
- I can perform on many apparatuses and offer extremely high energy and entertaining performances. My signature acts are my Maggot Chains act, my lobster chains acts (I perform a whole routine entirely in lobster claws), and my FLYing pole act in which I am dressed as a fly. The weirder the better! But I am also very technical and perform for tame and pretty purposes as well.
- For private lessons my rates vary per studio but generally are within the $70-$90 range per hour. These rates are generally cheaper if you book multiple lessons. I can also bring the rig to you fir more adjustable rates. If you are looking for a virtual lesson, reach out to me! I am happy to provide low rates or even group virtual classes.
- What I will teach: kids mixed aerials, all level chains, aerial pole and regular pole introductory all the way to level 3/ high intermediate, beginner lyra, beginner trapeze, beginner-intermediate aerial hammock, aerial cube, mixed aerials, beginner silks, and how to put on an entertaining performance/performance prep. I am also happy to create routines for performances as well.
- My teaching experience: I have been teaching in various forms since I was in high school. I worked as a Junior Counselor for Zach Theatre’s youth camps, I worked as a preschool teacher for around a year before switching to aerials, I have taught weekly classes at four different studios, and I have brought workshops (alongside my duo partner, Glitched Glamour) to numerous studios around Texas and Oklahoma with more planned.
- I also have a unique skill for teaching those with disabilities. I have been diagnosed with autism since I was a kid as well as deal with chronic health issues (hypermobility, EDS, endometriosis, Raynauds) which gives me a special ability to help others facing similar struggles with patience, sensitivity, and knowledge. Circus has been one of the most helpful safe spaces for me, and my goal is to ensure that everyone that takes a class with me gets to experience the same feeling.
